Our journey began in 2020 when my wife and I, inspired by our family's heritage, decided to embark on a new chapter by reviving a dream that had been nurtured since the 1990s.

The seeds of Dzi Pema were sown by our parents, who envisioned a hotel that would embody the essence of Bhutanese culture and hospitality. As civil servants, they could never find the time to run the hotel, leaving their vision to blossom within the walls they built.

Dzi Pema, the name itself, encapsulates the very soul of our hotel. "Dzi," a rare gemstone adorned with intricate black and white patterns, is believed to emit positive energy and vibrations to its wearer. Just like this precious gem, we aspire to infuse every moment at our hotel with positivity, warmth, and joy.

"Pema," meaning the lotus flower, holds a profound significance in Bhutanese culture. This delicate flower grows gracefully from muddy waters, symbolizing the beauty and resilience that emerges from challenging circumstances. Our hotel aims to stand out as a beacon of hope, where guests can find solace and inspiration amidst life's uncertainties.
